DEAD SEA CAMPINGIn our world of today, the working crowds in big cities are in desperate need of a natural way of life. Luxury hotels and similar accommodation facilities are far from fulfilling this need. This is where alternative tourism types such as camping and caravanning come into the picture.

Camping is an outdoor recreational activity. It is a recreational activity that became popular in the early 20th century. Campers stay in national parks, other publicly owned natural areas, and privately owned campgrounds. The idea is to leave urban areas and civilization and enjoy nature while spending several nights at a campsite usually located in national parks, other publicly owned natural areas, and privately owned campgrounds. Campers may simply use a tent or they may prefer a place which provides cabins and other facilities such as electricity, cooking and bathroom. There are also other various types of camping like winter camping, work camping, adventure camping, boutique camping and sail camping.

CARAVAN CAMPINGCaravanning on the other hand is travelling and camping on a recreational vehicle (RV). These vehicles intended for brief leisure activities such as vacations and camping have a living space and sometimes amenities such as cooker, refrigerator etc.

Mediterranean, a paradise of beautiful landscape has endless opportunities for those interested in camping and caravanning.

CARAVAN & CAMPING SITES IN MEDITERRANEAN

SPAIN

For instance the southern coast of Spain is a popular destination for tourists with some nice caravan sites in the region. Among these are Camping Cabopino, situated between Marbella and Malaga. It is well placed to visit both towns and next to the beach and a golf course. Further up the coast, you can find Camping Vilanova Park, ideally placed for anyone wanting to mix sunbathing with sightseeing. This spot is only 30 miles from the centre of Barcelona.

FRANCE

Like with Spain, the plentiful sites in the south of France allow you to stay close to any of the main coastal towns in the region. La Vielle Ferme Caravan Site  close to Cannes and Monaco is worth mentioning in this region.

ITALY

If you are interested in water sports Camping Le Marze, on the west coast of Italy, would be a good choice for you. Then again Camping Roma Flash close to Lake Bracciano would be another choice for water sports, as well as having plenty of beach space for relaxing and enjoying the views. You would also have the convenience of visiting Rome only 22 miles away.

CAMPING AKTUR TURKEYTURKEY

As camping was not the accommodation of choice among Turkish holidaymakers until a short while ago, facilities for this branch of tourism are still at the developing stage. This also brings the advantage of being able to experience a rather peaceful holiday as such facilities may not be crowded even in high season.

In the past one could find campsites next to pansions, or else in their back gardens. For visitors who arrive with no camping gear, such campings often have permanently erected tents, or simple wooden bungalows complete with comfortable mattresses, blankets and even clean sheets. There are some beautiful places of natural beauty to camp in Turkey. This especially applies to the Aegean coast as well as the Mediterranean Coast.CAMPING GREECE

GREECE

Greece has so many stunning sandy beaches and lush forested areas. This makes it one of the finest places for camping in the world. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, then camping in Greece could be among your best choices.
