Mediterranean which harbours more than 20 countries along its coast also has beautfiul beaches with hot sunshine, good food, friendly locals and reasonably low prices. Mediterranean is not well known for favorable surfing. However if you move up north a little along the Turkish Aegaean Coast ALACATI is known to be one of the best surfing locations in the world.
SPAIN: Costa Brava, Majorca/Balearic Islands, Murcia, Costa de la Luz, Tarifa, Bolonia beach. Costa Brava (far north-east coast): Cap de Begur is a charming area about 40 mins from Girona offering plenty of superb little beaches. Murcia (south-east coast): Calblanque is an isolated 1.5km long, unspoiled, uncrowded nudist beach with calm, clear water and firm yellow sand and limited facilities. Costa de la Luz (south-west coast): 800 metres of fine, white sand and low key developement make Agua Amarga village a classic, relaxing beach resort. Tarifa is another popular, attractive, low-key beach area with few hotels but lots of activities. Due to pretty strong winds it is preferred great by wind/kite surfers. Bolonia beach near Tarifa is for nudists with 3 km long unspoilt sand. FRANCE: Cannes, Nice, Cote d’Azur, Corsica Island. Cannes as opposed to Nice, has small and sandy beaches. They offer a reasonable amount of rent-free space and excellent food for reasonable prices. at nearby cafés. Côte d’Azur beaches and St Tropez are other well known resorts providing beach facilities. Monaco is another very popular sea resort with all the high society stuff and a lot of commercial activity going on. Corsica island: This is one the prominent entertainment spots in the Mediterranean with the best facilites for water sports. The island has 600 miles of coastline with many peaceful spots on the shores and secluded coves. ITALY: Terracina, Lampedusa island, La Costa Verde (Sardinia island), Abruzzo (Adriatic Sea). One of the best beaches on Italy’s mainland, Terracina’s is very long, wide and offers plenty of comfortable sand that is pay-parasol free, yet is within easy reach of cold drinks or simple meals from beach cafés. Lampedusa has clear sea and superb shores, and it offers some of the best swimming and skin-diving in the Mediterranean. Among other beaches, sea resorts is Sardinia, quite wild and less developed than many islands. It has a spectacular, cove-pocked, beach-packed coastline. of after-beach sightseeing in Abruzzo’s mountains and medieval villages.
GREECE: More than 6,000 islands off of the coast of Greece are home to the beautiful blue waters and white cliff-side homes hosting some of Europe’s most popular beach resort spots. Some of these beaches consist of soft sand and offer safe recreation opportunities for families. Some others have great potential for scuba diving, wind surfing and fishing. Among these spots are the Cyclades islands, Paradise, Super Paradise and Panormas beaches. Mykonos is one of the most attractive islands in Greece with its dry stone walls and cute organic architecture together with others like Santorini and Mykonos and many more.

CROATIA (Adriatic Sea): Croatia has low prices and a lengthy coastline dotted with islands and fine beaches, many of them shingle. Kolocep is one of the Elafiti islands on the Adriatic coast, near Dubrovnik down south. It has some of the loveliest, secluded beaches in Europe. Croatia also offers some great scuba diving walls, reefs, caves, wrecks off a few of their 1,000 + islands.
