Alexandria, A City Everyone Should See
Alexandria is the most popular city in Egypt… A country that everyone should definitely visit at least once, in their lifetime.
There are not many cities in the world with such a special name that reminds one of a history of thousands of years embracing a blend of various civilizations and cultures.
The city has a beautiful seafront with an insufficient number of service places though such as restaurants or cafes for tourists.
Alexandria is an extraordinarily long city in which you can walk the streets and see the sea at the same time.
The western area of MANSHIYA is accepted to be the city centre and east of the new library, a new and very long row of houses have been erected in this part of the city.
One could walk the entire stretch, starting at Fort Qaitbey and ending at Montazah (20 kilometers) in 3-4 hours or else you could take a taxi to start from Montazah and see the beaches as well
You could probably be impressed by the undulating road along the cliffs and the beaches in the area.
Among the historical and worth seeing spots in the city are the Roman Theatre, Kom esh-Shoqafa (catacombs), the Villa of Birds, Pompey’s Pillar and Serapeum, , the Library of Alexandria, the sunken city and the Montazah Palace are to mention.
Actually, when one thinks about the unparalleled history of the city it would only be fair to expect that ALEXANDRIA should have many more historical traces such as monuments and like from the past, to offer tourists visiting this beautiful land.
